To B Squad Parents, Family and Friends,

We are back. Back home. Under your roof. Under your provision. Under your care. Under your parental love. The problem is we have changed. We aren’t the same person that left your house 11 months ago. Sure some characteristics, and mannerisms may have remained, but we did change.

Some of you may have gotten a play by play each place we went to, I know my mom did. And some of you might not have. Regardless we now are home and have so much to tell you. And we know you have so much to tell us.

Here’s the thing. Communication is vital in this transition because as stories come up from our race, and stories come up from home, both parties just want someone to listen.

Parents and family, you aren’t the same people we left in January. You all have changed as well. Some of your characteristics and mannerisms may have remained but you all have changed.

Communication is important, but so are expectations. We honestly probably have no clue what this next season looks like. Some of us maybe, but even still it may be a piece of it. We don’t know about jobs, money, or honestly just life. What we do know is that we trust the Lord with our whole hearts to provide. Please be patient with us as we transition back home and figure out what our next steps are. There is so much to work through, process with, grieve over, smile about, and talk through. Please be understanding with what we need to process and transition.

We love you all so much and are so thankful for all of your support. We are excited to be home. Embrace. Give space. Comfort. Listen. Pray. And be patient.

“But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.”

Romans 8:25

  1. “What we do know is that we trust the Lord with our whole hearts to provide.” Wisdom, strength and discernment here, Erica! No better place to be than to trust in Our Holy God who loves each and every one of you!
